Any of you ever check out this website? Not only does the site offer book reviews, but you can keep track of all of the books you have read and would like to read! I love it! Here is the link: http://www.goodreads.com
(You have to register on the site before you can start making your own list of books)
What a great site! Thanks for the info.

I signed up there last year and love it! I just have to try and remember to update regularly.

What a great idea! I'm always forgetting which James Patterson books I've read when I go to look at the paperbacks, and this site will help me keep track. I'll just take a print out w/ me to the store. Thanks so much for sharing this idea.

There is also another one called Library Thing -- I'm not sure what the pros and cons are of each one so I haven't joined any. At the moment, I keep track of the books I've read in a post on another forum.

Well, I'm already completely hooked on Goodreads after 24 hours, lol, but I went to check out Library Things to see what the differences are. I googled a comparison of them and this is what I found out:
- Goodreads is free, paid for by ads; Library Thing costs $10 per year after 200 books (or $25 for a lifetime membership), and it's ad-free
- Goodreads is more of a social network, easier to ad your selections to your blog; Library Thing was created by librarians and has more information on the books (both included and what you can add)
- Goodreads is driven by "shelves" for categorization; Library Thing is driven by tags
- Goodreads is easier to use; Library Thing has more features
- Due to the cost of Library Thing after you catalog 200 books, Goodreads has a higher level of membership (about double the membership of Library Thing)
- LibraryThing appears to have more book cover options than Goodreads, and has a connection to the Library of Congress
- Goodreads is better for the review/recommend to your friends features, but Library Thing is increasing their functionality in that area.
