I like to think of them like rubber stamps. The key in digi is to make a new layer prior to "stamping" your digital brush. That way you can use it to it's fullest potential--such as resizing and recoloring as needed.

 Wow--congratulations on 3 years! I would like to see a challenge or two (helps keep me inspired) and a chat would be fun too!

 I temporarily save the zip files in a folder called "ZIP" (not too original) until have have backed up the unzipped files. Then I delete and start the process all over! I backup monthly.

 It is/was good. I'd go ahead and buy it from the store to enjoy while you can!
