Re: August 2014 CHALLENGE - Scrapbooking 3

So sorry I haven't been following up on everyone's submission. I have been moving rooms as I stated, which in turn caused a flair with my MS.  I had to get an injection this week and now I'm in bed with a fever.  But I did want to check in and will be announcing the winner as soon as I put everyone ...

Re: August 2014 CHALLENGE - Scrapbooking 3

http://sbing.com/i/gallery2/288461-490.jpg  I usually shy away from challenges with lots of steps because I always forget something...But those colors were just too lovely not to try! Thanks for the challenge! I chose the raspberry, melon or orangy color, and teal for my 3 colors. My three items we...

Re: Scrap booking Grieving Stories

As part of a class exercise, I created a patchwork quilt page.  On top of the quilt I placed a photo of 5 generations to include my grandmother.  The journaling was about how I sleep everynight under a quilt she made; and how not a day goes by that we don't think about her and miss her.

Cards for Soldiers

There was a program where you made cards that were sent to the troops overseas to send home to their loved ones.  In that way, they had cards to send for birthdays, miss-you cards, etc. since many aren't where they can buy these things. It was something like "OPERATION WRITE-HOME".  There ...

Re: August 2014 CHALLENGE - Scrapbooking 3

Looks good!  I just want to verify what your colors are, as sometimes what shows up on the screen isn't the same for everyone.  What I"m seeing is Raspberry (e.g. bright pink), Orange, Peach, Mint (green), and Teal.  Let me know if I got any wrong - thanks! I'm so sorry it took so long for me ...

Re: Winnowing the Wishlist

I find now and then my wishlist has reached hundred of items!  So I have started going through it every month or so and winnowing out items.  Tougher to do than I imagined.  So when I load up on seasonal items and that season has come and gone and then some, I am now removing most of those items fr...

Re: Scrap-A-Day, August 10th

Good morning cherries! How was everyone's day yesterday? Was it crafty/scrappy? Mine sure was! I was actually surprised how many layouts I did. I have 3 in my gallery, but I did five (two were for DT work). I'm hoping for a repeat performance, after breakfast! What are you scrappy/crafty plans for ...

Re: Does Anyone Have.......

We have put wood in all our rooms...so much easier to clean than carpet and sweeping just replaces vacuuming.  We have a robomop that we love but sometimes it gets lost under the bed (LOL) or Hairy Pawter pulls the ball out of the middle and we have to go hunt it - but it works awesome in the bedroo...

Re: Good Morning August 2, 2014

Good Day Ladies! I had heard it was going to rain this weekend, but just came in from my morning coffee with mom (we do this almost every day - have our morning coffee on the deck together) and it was sunny, humid and oh, so, hot!!!  Thinking about taking GiGi school shopping today as it's tax-free ...

Re: An Idea on Challenges

Yep, the Master List is the best way to locate all the challenges, no matter what they are called.  Some have already mentioned and I also noticed they mostly are already titled the same: the month... the challenge name... "Challenge". Just that some use the year, some don't.  I also go t...

Well, It's Finally Happened...

I have gotten to a spot where I absolutely have to get rid of some paper.  I cannot fit another piece of paper into my bins, so something's gotta go.  I hate getting rid of stuff.  Of course, I have papers that are over 10 years old!

Re: First Surgery

Oh my gosh Tammey... I am praying for you.  I'm not surprised that your headache is worse and your blood pressure can't get under control (of course, bp is always high when you're in pain) with all the stress the medical staff is causing.  I think for sure you should find out exactly what they did a...
