Install problem with RH8

I am trying to install Cacti on a RH8 system that already had snmp. php and mysql installed. I downloaded only rrdtool and cacti.

My problem is with the various references to usernames in the instructions, specifically in steps 4, 5, 7 and 8. Is there only one username to be used in all of these steps (i.e. that same one)? Or do I use different usernames? ??

Would someone please explain this to me? I am fairly green on Linux so your patience is appreciated.
