RRDTool 1.2 *FIXED* Poller problems 0.8.6g + patch *BROKEN*

Post by JSpecMugen »

I just upgraded to RRDTool 1.2 and only some of the graphs work. And they only work if I drill into a 5/day/week/year page.

Anyone else experienced the same thing? :-?

All debugging says everthing is A-Okay.

Upgrading to 0.8.6f fixed my graphing problem, however the poller is now broken...

running php ./cmd.php gives the following:

10/21/2005 10:18:57 AM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[x] DS[y] WARNING: Result from SERVER not valid. Partial Result: U

Ack!!!

Anyone know what's causing this?!

Turn your Poller Logging Level to debug for one cycle and take a look in your log file.

Just applied the fix as per TheWitness found here:

But my Host MIB disk/cpu polls still aren't working! Something i'm missing maybe?

Tried this. Here's an exerpt from my logs.

10/21/2005 10:58:19 AM - PHPSVR: Poller[0] SERVER: /usr/share/cacti/site/scripts/ss_host_cpu.php ss_host_cpu 68.142.64.133 public 1 get usage 1 output U

10/21/2005 10:58:19 AM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[5] DS[37] SERVER: /usr/share/cacti/site/scripts/ss_host_cpu.php ss_host_cpu 68.142.64.133 public 1 get usage 0, output: U
10/21/2005 10:58:19 AM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[5] DS[37] WARNING: Result from SERVER not valid. Partial Result: U

Does that provide any input?

I'm now noticing that none of the RRD files are updating after cron-jobs are passing.

After digging around, I was finding 0 results from my host_cpu and host_disk scripts.

Changed them to the new 0.8.6g scripts and now my queries are returning the correct data.

php ./cmd.php also does not produce any issues now with Partial Results.

Problem now is that the poller/cmd still isn't providing any data on the graphs!

My hands are truly tied at the moment and hope someone can give me some guidance.

I appreciate the support guys.

Your XML file is incorrect or you have not "cleared" your poller cache.

TheWitness

When you look in the poller cache, the ReadString:SNMPVersion:etc should be separated with a colon.
