rrd not being created

I'm using cacti 0.8.6f on RHEL WS release 3 and I 'm having trouble getting my scripts to work. I'm graphing metrics from a checkpoint firewall with six interfaces. I can create graphs for four of the six without a problem, but cacti will not create the rrds for the other two. I've tried deleting and recreating the data sources and graphs for the two interfaces in question but no luck. I also changed the poller logging level to debug to look for errors, but to be honest I don't think I would know one if I saw it. The only thing that seemed a little off was a comparison of the output of the script I use vs what I saw in the log for what I'm guessing is one of the data sources involved (see attached). Is there an issue with the length of the script? Is there somewhere else I can look for clues to the problem?
