Gauge Issue

I am using "gauge" but my values are not being stored exactly. The numbers on the left are real values and the numbers on the right are the ones that are registered in the rrd. Any ideas? Thanks.

This is the standard behaviour of rrdtool (see http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webto ... al.en.html in Chapter Data Resampling). It occurs, when storing of data does not occur exactly at 300 sec intervals but e.g. at 299 or 301.
