New kind of Tree managment

Post by sirprotos »

can we include the tree location at the time we add a device. let say, i've added one router and i want it to be located under on tree branch, i just select the branch from the device add (new or edit) interface. becouse, right now we have to select each and evry single device to be add under one branch. and at the tree management interface, can we, do a moving function, to move on branch to one branch. please consider this... thanks alot developers !~?

i was about to say the same thing. this would cut down on device adding time. adding your device to the proper tree is a whole second set of operations, and it would seem that this could be a part of the original device creation.

A filtering interface similar to using List Mode when viewing graphs would be good. You could easily filter an entire group of graphs based on the title and sort them into a branch.

Some sort of dynamic branch feature would be useful too. Such as a regex of 'CPU' to pull up all graphs with that phrase in it. It's more of a saved search feature though.

As far as adding hosts to a Tree, it is possible to add several "Graphs" to a branch today using the Graph Management interface. Simply select the graphs and then from the Dropdown, select "Add..." and you can move them to a Tree.

This currently does not work with Hosts. I think I will add this to Cacti today. We'll see anyway.
