can't view graphs on cacti, please help !!!

hello!

I have a big problem with graph on my cacti installation. I can't see graphs on the screen.

I have a linux redhat AS V3 installed on my PC.

I downloaded and sucessfully install:

1-) apache2 (httpd-2.0.54.tar)
2-) mysql (mysql-5.0.12-beta.tar)
3-) php (php-5.0.5.tar)

./configure --with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs --with-mysql --with-gd --with-zlib --with-zlib-dir=/usr/local/lib --with-libxml-dir=/usr/local/lib --with-snmp --enable-sockets --enable-soap'

4-) rrdtool (rrdtool-1.2.11.tar)
5-) cacti (cacti-0.8.6g.tar)
6-) netsnmp (net-snmp-5.2.1.2.tar)

After this, i began to check each package:

a) apache is OK (ps -efd| grep httpd)
b) mysql is OK (mysql -u cactiuser -p; show databases; use cacti; show tables; select * from host;)
c) php is OK (phpinfo in http://localhost/test.php)
d) rrdtool (i don't know how to check if all are OK)
e) net-snmp is OK (snmpget -v 1 -c public 192.168.0.248 .1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5.0)
e) cacti is OK


But the problem is in cacti:
I successfully create a device and the associate graphs. Under the graph option, i see all the graphs created. When i click on one item (graph), nothing appear on the screen. When i click on "Turn on graph debug mode", i have the message "rrdtool says: graph acces denied".

This is very strange because i ran "chown -R cactiuser:cacti /usr/local/pache2/htdocs/cacti". After this, i notice than the rra/*rrd files are created by the cron.

Also in the "graph management option", i do not see the graph i created before.

This shows, that data is not gathered. Please switch to DEBUG mode (under "Settings") and run and least for one polling cycle. Please post that cacti.log

Sounds like (Cacti's) permissions problem...

What do you have for the admin account in Console -> User Management -> "admin" -> Graph Permissions :
- Graph Permissions (By Graph)
- Graph Permissions (By Host)
- Graph Permissions (By Graph Template)

Ok, I downgraded mysql to version 4.1 and now I get this message if I click on a Host in the "Graphs" section:

Pease do not use MySQL 5.x. We have not certified in that release and already know that it does not work.

You should rebuild your database.

is there a notice that cacti _don't_ work with mysql5? if not, please do it

As soon as mySQL 5.x is released, cacti will support it. Until it's done with beta, we have no plans on supporting it while it's in flux.
