I have read through many posts about being unable to get the graphs working. I believe I have followed the suggestions of those posts, but still only get the red "X". One interesting thing that sets this apart from most of the other posts is that I am unable to get the graph debug mode to work. Whenever I click on this my browser (both IE and Firefox) just sits there loading the page, and it never loads anything.
Polling is working fine, and it is putting the .rrd files in the correct location. I have checked and double checked that the IUSR account has the correct permissions to cmd.exe. I have even set IIS to temporarily use another account (which I also set permissions for) with no luck. I also made sure to specify that rrdtool 1.2 was being used.
Here is the relevant info:
Brand new install (no upgrade)
Windows 2003 sp1
rrdtool 1.2.11 from the cacti.net site (also tried 1.2.4)
cacti 0.8.6f
Any help is very much appreciated!

I am using PHP version 5.0.5-win32. I have enabled the PHP web extension (in fact I enabled all web externsions for the moment just to make sure I didn't miss something). I had given the IUSR user permissions to the cmd.exe file, but had not previously given it permissions to the rrdtool.exe file. what is your path in General Settings?
Should be c:\php\php-win.exe. Is this correct?
How is your web server setup? Using FastCGI or ISAPI?

Did you get around this problem ? I am getting the same issue, the graphs are just showing a red cross and if i turn on Graph Debug Mode it sits there for a while and then at the bottom of the screen i get a red cross and the text "RRDTool Says:" and thats it.

When i finally think i am getting somewhere stuff don't work.....I have also checked everything, all my paths are correct, the permissions are correct, i am using;

Also noticed that when the polling runs (using the Scheduled Tasks), i breifly get two dos windows and i think on says something about module not found ? Comes on the off too quick to read it.
The Cacti Logs look ok though ?

Right, i have been doing some further messing and it appears that if you run the rrdtool from the command line i do get a load of gibberish, if i pipe that through to a .PNG file i do in fact get a graph.
I do also get an error when i do this. The error says;
ERROR: failed to load /user/local/rrdtool-1.2.12/share/rrdtool/fonts/DejaVuSansMono-Roman.ttf
I am just guessing that this is because i have ran the commend from the cmd prompt which is why its not picking up the font from cacti ?
Can anyone please help me on this one ?

Hmm, are you running in Windows? If so, please set an environment variable RRD_DEFAULT_FONT sot something like %WIDIR%/Fonts/cour.ttf for the system. Then, try again. Please note, your open command prompt will not inherit the changes, you will have to open a new command prompt.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I am running this under Windows 2003. The solution posted, will this fix the issue running it from the command line or will it fix the Cacti issue of not displaying anything ?
I will try this when i am next in the office. I have been trying for weeks to get this running as i am a total newbie and thanks to these forums i am getting closer and closer

It will fix your DEBUG'ing from the command line. I am curious, you downloaded this from the Cacti site?

Downloaded the rrdtools from this site, tried earlier version 2.1.6 and also latest 2.1.12. Still no luck with seeing them in Cacti.
I am fairly sure i have followed everything by the letter (the guide) appart from doing the net-snmp bit because i aint got a clue how to do that. Thought, one problem at once
