I'm trying to get Cacti up and running on my Debian Sarge-box. After a while I got the interface up and running, and most graphs were plotted correctly, except for the network-interface statistics. After having read this this was fixed, eventually ...
... if I run the poller manually, that is ... Logging in as the user I use in crontab and execute exactly the same command as cron does, executes nicely. If I wait for cron to do so, it times out (after 60 seconds; changed that value - normal execution time is around 4 seconds) ...
