strange behavior in legend formatting

Post by seveny »

Hi there,

I haver a broken legend at http://www.knopfdruck.net/projekte/linu ... ph_77.html - see the first line ("Aussentemperaturen" SPACES Current)

I just set everythiung up as always - with no spacing in between - but when I
turn on the debug-code it shows a lot of spaces. Why?

Did anybody see a similar problem?

It does not happen always, most of the grahps appear to be correct.

This is the debug-code:

/usr/local/rrdtool-1.2.11/bin/rrdtool graph - \
--imgformat=PNG \
--start=-86400 \
--end=-300 \
--title="Wetterstation Sifi: Aussentemperaturen" \
--base=1000 \
--height=120 \
--width=500 \
--alt-autoscale \
--vertical-label="°C" \
--slope-mode \
DEF:a="/home/httpd/html/cacti-0.8.6f/rra/wetterstation.rrd":To:AVERAGE \
DEF:b="/home/httpd/html/cacti-0.8.6f/rra/wetterstation.rrd":WC:AVERAGE \
DEF:c="/home/httpd/html/cacti-0.8.6f/rra/wetterstation.rrd":DP:AVERAGE \
DEF:d="/home/httpd/html/cacti-0.8.6f/rra/wetterstation.rrd":To:MAX \

GPRINT:a:AVERAGE:"Average\:%6.2lf" \
GPRINT:d:MAX:"Maximum\:%6.2lf\n" \

GPRINT:b:LAST:"Current\:%6.2lf" \
GPRINT:b:MIN:"Minimum\:%6.2lf" \
GPRINT:b:AVERAGE:"Average\:%6.2lf" \
GPRINT:b:MAX:"Maximum\:%6.2lf\n" \

GPRINT:c:LAST:" Current\:%6.2lf" \
GPRINT:c:MIN:"Minimum\:%6.2lf" \
GPRINT:c:AVERAGE:"Average\:%6.2lf" \

I am using cacti version 0.8.6f with recent patches.

What version of RRDtool are you using. Tobi did have issues with international characters at one point. Also, I am not sure how to interpret the problem. The graphs I saw looked fine.

Version rrdtool

Post by seveny »

as mentioned above:
/usr/local/rrdtool-1.2.11/bin/rrdtool

the spaces should be visible and they still are at:
http://www.knopfdruck.net/projekte/linu ... ph_77.html

umlauts and stuff work fine, just the spacing is strange.

i try to create a "good" verion by calling rrdtool manually and post it again.
