Queries on interface statistics

Post by antonyjaison »

Hi,

How to see the graphs of Interface CRC errors , Output drops etc.. through cacti graphs. I was able to create the graphs only for in/out errors and discards. Other options are not available on select graph type dropdown list. I need your help in adding all the interface statistics on the dropdown list menu. Attaching my cacti data queries page for your reference.

Second query is in cacti is there any event viewer which will give the warnings and down notifications. In settings i have seen one option but i couldn't make out where it will display the output.

Thanks in advance....

Regards,
Jaison

Yes, it is possible. However, if you want this level of data, it is best to create a separate data query as opposed to modifying the current default. You can use the current Interfaces as an example. It is also possible to modify the default, starting with the mock-up of the XML file.

Please utilize the manual as well as the interfaces data query as your model in either case.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
