I'm running cacti 0.8.6f on debian. I have everything installed and running, but I'm not able to view graphs. The rrd files are updating properly via cron, permissions on them are set to 644. When I enable Graph Debug Mode, I see the following message:
RRDTool Says:
ERROR: opening '/usr/share/cacti/site/rra/******.rrd': Permission denied
I chowned the files to reflect the group www-data for apache2.
Any ideas?
Graphs Blank, permission denied opening rrd file

Problem resolved. Not sure what I did differently, but I restarted apache2 and chowned everything again to www-data:
chown www-data:www-data rra
chown www-data:www-data rra/
chown www-data:www-data log
chown www-data:www-data log/
And it started working. Obviously this was a permissions issue, as I was being told repeatedly. I know these permissions were correct, though, and I know that apache2 was running as www-data:www-data. Ah well, something happened and it's definitely possible I was wrong.
Hopefully this will help someone else in the future.
