Really? I like them better since old data seems to be more easily searched/indexed. But I suppose creating a 'cacti-users' mailing list would not be a bad idea. There is already a 'cacti-announce' and a 'cacti-devel' mailing list, but neither of these are currently suitable for support questions.

About searching mailing list archives, I'm writing a program for that, it's not yet released nor stable but I could host archives, an example is http://www.floc.net/www_exarch.py?list= ... e=frameset (use old dates, it's not live)

Seems that enough people would probably use a mailing list, so I created cacti-user.

Go ahead and subscribe here:

Yeah, forums are better than mailing list. Unless you can batch up the mail list for 1 email daily.

You can actually configure the mailing list to e-mail a daily digest. You can change this option on the list page:

https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/cacti-user

This message board seems to get more traffic though, which helps when getting a useful answer.
