cacti 0.8.6c to cacti 0.8.6f with thold

actually, i use cacti 0.8.6c with thold for alert by mail.
to use more scripts, i want change cacti version to use 0.8.6f . I see that the new version of thold (2.1b) can be use with cacti 0.8.6f
i want be sure that before change cacti version, i loose nothing after the change.
i can note that change cacti version is not a problem. I can keep without problem all scripts and actually graphs. But i don't know what's happen for thold if i change cacti version ? Do i loose all alerts that i have actually ? How can i change simply cacti version when we use thold ?

As with all upgrades, back up your data (cacti files & mysql database). Install the latest cacti and thold. You settings should be migrated over. Did you read through the thold thread complealty about upgrades?
