Cactid Bug?

Post by shanali »

based on the below data is that the correct behaviour for cactid? ~200sec for 99% snmp polling of 39 hosts is badly restricting cacti's scalability. any tips or tricks to recommend?

i'm using cacti-0.8.6f & cactid-0.8.6e on a FreeBSD 5.4 host (~3 Ghz, 512Mb with load average of load averages: 0.00, 0.02, 0.04)

There has been an issue on "MIBS=ALL" to be replaced by "MIBS=""" to avoid extensive parsing of MIBs. But I don't know whether this is still an issue. For a greater number than your's our polling time is app. 35 sec.

hi, not sure the impact of your suggestion but my memory upgrade (from 512M to 4G) did the trick...
