Newbie: ifOperStatus Displays as integer in data query

Post by bubbleup »

New to the forum and product, very impressed so far. Apologize in advance, for somewhat common question ...

For my interface statistics data query, the ifOperStatus displays as a Integer, instead of Up/Down ... I get the following from the verbose query:

+ Executing SNMP walk for data @ '.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8'
+ Found item [ifOperStatus='1'] index: 1 [from value]
+ Found item [ifOperStatus='1'] index: 2 [from value]
+ Found item [ifOperStatus='1'] index: 3 [from value]

When I do a snmpwalk using ucd snmpwalk, get the following:

IF-MIB::ifOperStatus.1 = INTEGER: up(1)
IF-MIB::ifOperStatus.2 = INTEGER: up(1)
IF-MIB::ifOperStatus.3 = INTEGER: up(1)

I am using cacti-0.8.6e-1, cmd.php for poller -- I am using Cacti with the xampp package (very nice easy to install Lamp) on Red Hat AS3.

Thanks for any help or information
