preview displays fine, but no underlying graphs

Post by todd »

Howdy,

I've just installed cacti 0.8.6f via the FreeBSD ports system. I've got it up and running with basic monitoring of the system.

I've been trying to graph the results of the included "Unix - Get TCP Connections" script.

I finally figured out how to create the Data Template for the results of this script. I then got a Graph created for my device. However, now in the Graph Management screen related to the connection monitor, I get this error:

ERROR: Could not parse line 'GPRINT::LAST:Current\:%8.0lf'

Here's where it gets weird:

If I switch to the mode to view Graphs and look at the previews of all of my graphs, I see the the TCP connection information graphed. The data is consistent with what I'd expect and appears to be accurate. However, when I click on the preview graph to see the fully detailed 5 min/30 min/2hr etc., graphs, I'm met with just magnifying glasses and and wrenches. There aren't any actual graphs.

Does anyone have an idea of what's going on here?

Thanks!
Todd
