hi, i have the same error

i have also installed cati 0.8.6f (IIS 5.0) and Thold 2.1. Install was OK, but now when I klicked on a device to configure Alerting, Cacti crashes (no Error Messages) I must reboot the services.

Is Thold 2.1 working with the new Cacti Version ?

Yes, I have the same error in IIS + W2K

When I click link Description Device in the listthold.php, the IIS crashes too.

Sametime I can open the next page to configure the values. but I receive the error:

Notice: Undefined offset: 1 in C:\cacti-c\lib\thold-functions.php on line 36

I'm using cacti0.8.6c and Thold 2.1a

Can anybody help me ?

Thanks

Are you using Thold 2.1a? If so, I think its best to point out that you are using an extremely old version of THold. The newest version (which does actually fix these errors) has been ported the Plugin Architecture, and the old version is no longer supported.

To install the Plugin Architecture
http://www.cactiusers.org/wiki/PluginAr ... ureInstall

It is also recommended that you upgrade to the latest Cacti, as there are many improvements. Any changes to the architecture are also not backported to the older versions.

Thank your kindly help, cigamit,
I'll install a fresh cacti installation to experience its new features. From its change logs I found I have to install many plug-ins again, e.g, reports, Threshold,syslog,...and some device templates, such as HPUX, I get them from cacti forum, But I don't know why cacti developers don't put them to new release...

A completely new Plugin Architecture is being designed for Cacti v0.9 and will be shipped with it and a few plugins. Tony and I are designing it, and will begin coding it once I find time to finish a few of the other items on my list.
