Migration database 0.6.8 -> 0.8.6

Post by Trupaslu »

Hello,

At the moment we running cacti 0.6.8 with mysql-server-3.23.46. Because it is very slow, we decided to move to 0.8.6 with mysql-server-4.1.11_1.
We are using MRTG as our poller, this will be cactid in the new configuration. We got a lot of graph information in our database at the moment. We want to export and import this data in the new database..

Do any of guys have any idea how we can accomplish this?

Thanks!

I would suggest a consulting engagement to save you the suffering. If this is acceptable, please send e-mail. The database can be upgraded remotely and your system cut over quite happily.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
