Having a problem with new release of cactid. I have installed cacti 0.8.6e, and with cmd.php all works fine. when i try to turn on cactid poller insted of cmd.php, all hosts showing "down" under "devices" menu and no rrd files being updated nor creating new ones.
is it possible to solve this problem?

Please turn on DEBUG in Cacti, then open a shell and cd to the cactid binary directory and run ./cactid. Capture it's output and post.

The problem stems from Host did not respond to SNMP.
What version of net-snmp are you using?

There are some issues in various Linux builds where cactid appears to build properly but will not run due to multiple versions of Net-SNMP and subsequent libraries being installed.
This is likely the cause of the problem. Please research. There are a few posts on the board that elude to this.
