That sucks! Ok, a few things you can do.

1) Alter the lib/snmp.php and start to remove the -O options in the "cacti_snmpget" function until it starts to not throw the errors. (Please do this either way) Pleeeeassseeee post your findings.

2) Turn on php_snmp support in PHP. In *nix, I don't know quite how to do this.

3) Upgrade Net-SNMP

We really need to know what the problem is though.

Thanks,

You can't remove all the -O options, it may break the parsing of OID outputs.. :(

What version of NET-SNMP are you running?

Can you put them back in 1 at a time until it breaks and then post the option that did it.

Thanks,

Easier method would be to upgrade you NET-SNMP.. :)

Version 5.1.x should work fine.

It's the upper case "U" that is causing the problems. Try removing it and see if snmp starts to work again.

Tony,

We should remove the "U", I am taking off unit's anyway in validate_results().

I suggest you look at older code... :)

We put a lot of thought in those changes. We are not going to change it on a whim.
