no graph for CPU Utilization

Post by cass »

My config:
Windows XP
apache 2.0.53
cacti 0.8.6d
cactid 0.8.6d
mysql 4.0.24
net-snmp-5.2.1
php-5.0.4
rrdtool-cygwin-1.2.9

Paths:
Snmpwalk/get: c:\net-snmp\bin\snmpget.exe
Rrdtool: c:\rrdtool\rrdtool.exe
Rrdtool font: c:\windows\fonts\arialn.ttf
PHP: c:\php\php-win.exe
Cacti log: C:\Apache2\htdocs\cacti/log/cacti.log
c:\cactid\cactid.exe

Scheduled task
Run: c:\php\php-win.exe c:\Apache2\htdocs\cacti\poller.php
Start in: c:\Apache2\htdocs\cacti

The Administrator of the machine was given rights to perform the scheduled task and has permissions to the rra and log folders.

When I run the command: C:\Apache2\htdocs\cacti>php poller.php:

06/13/2005 02:52:21 PM - POLLER: Poller[0] DEBUG: About to Spawn a Remote Process [CMD: c:\php\php-win.exe, ARGS: -q c:\apache2\htdocs\cacti/cmd.php 0 4]

In the properties of my graph: DEF:a="C\:\Apache2\htdocs\cacti/rra/vdifile_cpu_11.rrd":cpu:AVERAGE \

But the file vdifile_cpu_11.rrd doesn’t exist in C:\Apache2\htdocs\cacti\rra.

What can I do to resolve this problem?

I don't see cacti even trying to query the device for the CPU info. Is this on the same or different host?
When you click on verbose query in the device for the cpu utlization, does it return anything?

Personally, I haven't found the cpu util template to work very well and instead, use a generic OID template to manually poll the CPU OIDs.
