MySQL Error

All I'm trying to install Cacti on Windows, I have followed the installation guide for installing cacti on windows. however when I try to browse to the cacti site for the initial setup I receive the following errror:-

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in C:\Apache2\htdocs\cacti\lib\adodb\drivers\adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 338

Make sure you restart the complete server after installation.
