No text on graphs
Cacti install on Windows XP Home. Everything is working fine except no text on the graphs. I have installed rrdtool 1.2.9 from the cacti site but still no luck. I have also tried pointing the rrdtool path to a couple different files as well as just the directory (c:/rrdtools) with no success.
I have searched through the forums but have been unable to find a solution. Many moons have passed and I am starting to go a bit fruity, any ideas would be much appreciated.
thanks

Going through everything again I found the following line in rrd.php
/* set the rrdtool default font */
if (read_config_option("path_rrdtool_default_font")) {
putenv("RRD_DEFAULT_FONT=" . read_config_option("path_rrdtool_default_font"));
I found this mentioned in another post but I am wondering what value I can add to it?
thanks

In Settings atm I have c:/rrdtool/cygfreetype-6.dll listed for RRDtool default font path. I have also tried just c:/rrdtool in this box and still don't see anything. I am starting to wonder if I have RRD installed correctly. My rrdtools folder has the following files in it.
cygart_lgpl_2-2.dll
cygfreetype-6.dll
cygpng12.dll
cygwin1.dll
cygz.dll
rrdtool.exe
I noticed that the original download of 1.2.6 has a ton of files/folders that 1.2.9 does not have. Should I have copied the files included in 1.2.9 into the 1.2.6 files?
Also in Settings >> Visual, I noticed text boxes where I could specify fonts for title, legend, etc. but I don't know what value to type in that box.

Yes, you need those files and the font path would point to something like "c:/windows/fonts/arialn.ttf" or something like it.
The files required are:
cygart_lgpl_2-2.dll
cygfreetype-6.dll
cygpng12.dll
cygwin1.dll
cygz.dll

Or have cygwin installed, where the instructions on that page work just fine.floatter wrote:How apply this patch under windows ?
