Hello fellow cacti-users!
I started using cacti today, and have it setup perfectly. I can honestly say that this package is outstanding and is marvel of PHP programming.
I'm sure many of you are aware of lm_sensors, the hardware sensor monitoring package for Linux. There already is a script to send it's output to RRDtool using a shell script., but I thought it'd be great to have the ability to graph it inside cacti.
So here's my contribution, written in PHP.
You can get it here: http://www.gfxcafe.com/scripts/lm_sensors.phps
The basic details of how to set it up in cacti are in the comment. However, you might be a bit confussed on which proc devices are for which sensor, so here's a quick list:
inX - these devices are for voltages, depending the chip you're using there will be a different number of them.
tempX - different tempartures from thermistors on the motherboard (temp1 is usually the first CPU).
fanX - various fans.
I am not to sure about the others, if anyone knows (or if anything above is inaccurate), please correct me. Hope some of you find this useful
