RRD tool on RedHat 9

Post by lvanderb »

Hi,

I've been trying six ways from Sunday to install rrd (1.2.8) tool and am always coming up against no cgilib.pc file - and thus rrd won't install.

I have followed the cgilib install instructions in rrdbuild.txt, I have tried and tried.

Can anyone offer me any suggestions as to what I might be missing?

Thanks,
Linda
ps I seem to have the older version of rrdtool 1.0.39 installed - not sure if that's working or not.. sigh...

Run ldconfig as root and try it again.

Thanks,

It appears that the 1.0 version is working and Cacti is happy with it... so, maybe I'll wait for an rpm build of 1.2 for redhat 9 to arrive at my doorstep someday  .

I started out trying to use SystemStats2, but Cacti seems to fit my needs and comprehension level better for now.
