On a fresh install I get this error when clicking on 'Edit Current Graph Hierarchy'
Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /usr/local/apache/htdocs/cacti/include/tree_functions.php on line 156

Also, when clicking on the Graphs tab I get this error:
Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /usr/local/apache/htdocs/cacti/include/tree_functions.php on line 54

Cacti-0.6.3 did not have any such problems.
Everything else appears ok and the .rrd files are being created.

Any ideas???

Changes were made to the tree code in version 0.6.4. However when looking at lines 156 and 64 in 'tree_functions.php' I can't find where a MySQL error would come from. In fact line 54 is a comment in the 0.6.4 version of that file.

To make sure your upgrade went alright I would save your current 'rra/' directory and then delete your cacti directory. Untar the newest version and put all of the files you backed up from 'rra/' back in the new location.

The current 'tree_functions.php' file is 279 lines long; you'd want to make sure yours is the same as this. Hope this helps,

Problem resolved. Not sure why but after flushing the database everything started working perfectly.
