Strange graphs
Hi all,
I've installed cacti on a machine of my network and I've started monitoring 5 servers. It seemed to work well, but after a little time, I've remarqued that all the graphics generated are exactly the same !!! However there are firewalll, application server, dns, vpn...
So I've tried to change the hostname with the IP adress but I've got the same problem.
I think it's a problem with the database but I don't know what to do.
If someone could help me to solve my problem...
Thanks

View the polling and snmp cache. Is all the data the same? If so, try clearing both.
Also can turn on debugging and look at exactly what cacti is polling/collecting.

So you turned on debugging and looked at what values cacti queried, returned, and updated the rra files with?

yes.
Moreover in the devices page, current and average values are different for each server, so it doesn't probe only one server.
But I use a vservers kernel and I'm wondering if the problem doesn't come from here. Indeed the graphs for all device are the same as the one which hosts my cacti vserver.
However my tests have proved that the vserver access to other servers as if it was a real server.

There are some graphic templates that are designed for localhost only. Please make sure you are not mistakenly using those graph templates. The way to determine this is to drill down through the interface to the input method. This can be found in the data template. If it is one of the scripts in "Data Input Methods" other than SNMP, or SNMP query, it ls likely designed for localhost only. Another tell tail way to see is by running "System Utilities -> View Poller Cache". In there, you will see the script names, that can then be confirmed.
