Larry,
I am running into an issue with the new version of cactid. I copied all of my data over to my build box (i never install to production), got cacti 0.8.6b working, then installed 0.8.6d.
Some of the messages from the log are at the end of the message. The mySQL connect messages and the script server temrinated are the ones that are bothering me. I downloaded the source and recompiled it. the last version of cactid that I was running was 0.8.6b.
Regards,
Willie

Willie,
If you have downloaded a clean cygwin, make sure you delete any Cygwin from the Cactid directory and remake Cactid. Use the 0.8.6e from the Announcements forum.
There have been many cygwin changes in the last 6 months. Some are more stable than others.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?

cactid issue
Larry,
I have downloaded the cactid "e" version per the anouncements. Here is what I found. There seems to be an issue with the retries in the SQL.C. I reverted back to a prior version that we had worked on. that version made my issues go away. I am enclosing the SQL.C that I used.
Regards,
Willie
