Can't specify a few OID in Data Source Items

Post by Sem »

I've tried to create a graph with a few OID for displaying.
But when I change an OID value on next Data Source Item in Data Template, OID values on all other Data Source Items have changed.

Look at the screen shot. I've entered OID .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.1 in if_in, when I'll switch to if_out and change OID it will be changed on all Data Source Items (if_in, if_out etc.).

What's wrong?

A "feature" of the interface, when you switch to a tab and change something, you have to save it and return.

Yes, of course I did.
I change OID and press SAVE. Back to the page and see all OIDs became with value I entered.

Are you using a proxy server? If so, tell it to not cache your cacti server.

Nothing helps :(

I've removed cacti and cacti table from DB and install it from scratch.
I've apply all patches.
I've tried IE as suspect Mozilla of autofill feature.

I have no proxy or cache and connect to web server directly.

Nothing changed. When I enter OID on any tab it changed on all tabs.

I've found the reason.

It's.... impossible!

It's impossible to create multi DS in one Data Template for 'Get SNMP Data' Method.

I've made one DT on every OID I'd like to draw and bound then to Graph Template.

I have no idea why it's impossible. CACTI interface is quite strange and unpredictable somtimes.

Sem,

This feature is already incorporated into the next MAJOR release of Cacti. Unfortunately, the release that will go out today/tomorrow, is a maintenance release.

Hmm - just been bashing head against wall with the same problem.

So - is the workround for now is one DT for each SNMP OID & then pull them together into one GT which can be applied directly to a Device, or to a Host Template??

Not being pushy - I really appreciate the effort that must go into cacti - but are there any rough dates for the release that will fix this - weeks/months/qtr/year? Just so i don't spend time with the workaround to find the major release appears when I'm done....
