Hello everyone,
My problems, I believe, are with snmp The snmpget and snmpwalk binaries are on my system and recognized by cacti during the install so I assumed that they were ok. However, I can not gather any interfaces from any of my network gear. I have the proper settings for community string and such. Is there a way I can test snmp outside of cacti to see if they are setup properly. If these are not set up properly, what options should I use when I compile the ucd-snmp binaries?
My next question relates to the webhits.pl script. Since my log files are in /www/logs I edited the script accordingly, but cmd.php returns an error of "wc: /var/log/httpd/access_log: No such file or directory" , which is what I edited in the script. Not sure why I am getting this error.
Thanks everyone

You can test your SNMP binaries by running the following at the command line:
About the webhits problem, go into cacti and select "Data Sources". Then click "edit data" next to the "system_webhits" data source. Make sure to update the path to your log file there as well.
Tell me if this does not work.

Make sure to subsitute any hostnames/community strings with the correct ones.snmpwalk localhost public .
