How 2 migrate data to a database w/ different sampling rate?

Post by denisfernandez »

Hi,

I created a RRD file with a sampling rate defined as "300 seconds" (mistakingly), and I'm feeding it with data every 600 seconds. How can I migrate all the data I collected to another database with the correct data sampling rate of 600 seconds, without loosing anything?

Appreciate any help!

You need to export to XML and then perform some magic with regard to summarizing and then re-import the modified XML data back into an RRD file with altered parameters. Cacti changes may be a little more work as well.
