everything ok but no graphs

Post by xerox88 »

Hi folks,

we just installed cacti and everything works fine except presenting the graphs in the browser.

The rrd files are updated in the raa subdirectory but we see no graph displayed.

Please help.

Thanks.

Are the rrd files being created?
Do you have the proper rights set up on the folders so web users can view it?
Are you able to view the graphs on the webserver with the account the poller is running under?

yes,

the rrd files are there and get updated every five minutes.
The permissions are ok. If you point the browser directly to the rra dir and read e.g. a html page everything is fine.

no, I do not see any graphs . .

What do you get? Just a text link of the name of the graph? Can you go in there and get the command that's being run? You can get that by clicking on the tool icon. You can copy and paste that in your command line to see if it works. I'd recommend redirecting the output to a file to test.

[command from tool icon] > test.png

Then see if any errors show up and/or if the graph is visibile in your web browser.

You can even paste the command here so we can see what could be wrong.
