rrd_maximum

Post by BrotherJoe »

Whew.
I'm going insane here trying to wrap my head around how things interact in Cacti. I've hit a bit of a wall and I'm trying to work out if there is a basic lack of understanding on my part, or, there is something else at fault.

I'm fiddling with this:
http://forums.cacti.net/about2994-0-asc-15.html

All seems nearly well, except for one important thing: my maximum value brought forward to CURRENT_DS_MAXIMUM_VALUE is not query_ifSpeed, which is what the Data Query I'm using (default vanilla SNMP Interface Stats) has set for rrd_maximum.

Just where does CURRENT_DS_MAXIMUM_VALUE come from?

In my case it's defaulting to the value I see in Data Sources. Changing Data Sources makes everything happy, but, my following of things through the maze seems to make me think that this should be auto-populated.

Where am I wrong?
