rrdtool 'freezes'

Post by Spectre256 »

Two times now while cacti has been under heavy usage, it will slow down so that almost no pages load for some time. Closing and re opening my browser and re-logging in will make it speed back up, however after that no graphs will be dispalyed, but other than that the site works perfectly. Restarting apache is the only way to get the graphs to display. Next time this happens I will turn on debug logging and see what is going on but until then does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to fix this? Thanks in advance.

Souds like a graph template is invalid. This will lock up apache. You need to find the buggy template by viewing graphs individually and correct it's template.

All my graphs work though, could I find the error thru DEBUG logging? Or rather, what is a good way to figure out what graph might be doing this?
