Installation errors

Post by crownd »

Hello,

Im trying to install cacti on Redhat 7.2 and after my install, when I try to open the index.php page, I get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_connect() in /var/www/html/cacti/lib/adodb/drivers/adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 344

Also, when I run cactid, I get the following output:

[root@dnsrn local]# ./cactid
CACTID: Using cactid config file [cactid.conf]
WARNING: Unrecongized directive: LogFile=/var/www/html/cacti/log/cacti.log in cactid.conf

CACTID: Host[1] PING Result: Ping not performed due to setting.

Run the following command:

Code: Select all

php -m
If you see mysql, you have mysql modules for php install, if not, you need to install it.

Another issue is that you have not setup the user in mysql for the cacti database, or the include/config.php file has incorrect database, username or password.

From a cactid perspective you need to do the following:

1) Remove the LogFile directive from cactid.conf
2) Verify that your ID has RW to the <webroot>/cacti/log directory
3) Verify that your Web Server ID has RW to the <webroot>/cacti/log directory.

CactiD should be much happier then.
