no graph on FC3

Post by derrick.joseph »

Hello Experts,

I installed cacti cacti-0.8.6c on Fedora Core 3 distro and I wasn't able to view graphs. I installed the same cacti version on a different pc working a RH 7.3 system and it worked without any problem at all ... graphs are shown and its being updated also. So what I did was to follow the steps I did on RH7 installation and it's permissions ... still graphs won't show on my Fedora Core 3 distro.

On my fedora machine:

1. pollings are working as I can see the following:
02/12/2005 02:00:03 PM - SYSTEM STATS: Time: 1.0515 s, Method: cmd.php, Processes: 1, Threads: N/A, Hosts: 3, Hosts/Process: 3
02/12/2005 02:05:03 PM - SYSTEM STATS: Time: 1.0679 s, Method: cmd.php, Processes: 1, Threads: N/A, Hosts: 3, Hosts/Process: 3
02/12/2005 02:10:02 PM - SYSTEM STATS: Time: 1.0641 s, Method: cmd.php, Processes: 1, Threads: N/A, Hosts: 3, Hosts/Process: 3
02/12/2005 02:15:03 PM - SYSTEM STATS: Time: 1.2725 s, Method: cmd.php, Processes: 1, Threads: N/A, Hosts: 3, Hosts/Process: 3
02/12/2005 02:20:03 PM - SYSTEM STATS: Time: 1.0650 s, Method: cmd.php, Processes: 1, Threads: N/A, Hosts: 3, Hosts/Process: 3
02/12/2005 02:25:02 PM - SYSTEM STATS: Time: 1.0678 s, Method: cmd.php, Processes: 1, Threads: N/A, Hosts: 3, Hosts/Process: 3
2. I also have things on my poller cache and snmp cache. the RRD files are being updated but there are no graphs.
3. on my /etc/crontab is "*/5 * * * * cactiuser php /var/www/html/cacti/poller.php > /dev/null 2>&1"
where cactiuser is a valid user on fc3 machine
all the files under /var/www/html/cacti are owned by "newbie" under group "user" however rra/ and log/ are being owned by "cactiuser" under group "cactiuser" with all the permission set to 777.

Your inputs please.

Thanks.

derrick
