hi all,
i need to monitor the bandwidth of a mellanox switch with 25Gbit/sec interfaces
i am new on cactiez, anyway....
i made some graph but they are completly different of the switch graph, i had some doubt and i see that the counters used was 32bit counters and it sometimes going to zero, i suppose for overflow.
anyway the right counters are 64bit ifHCInOctets and ifHCOutOctets, with a snmpwalk i can read these values and they are the same reported into the switch WEBUI.
the problem is with cacti graph , i created the new ones but i continue to view strange values (peak at 50MB/sec instead 350/400 MB/sec)
i also created a simple script that read these values , calculate the difference and put it into a CSV. these collected values match with switch graph but not with cactiez graph.
can anyone help me?

Re: issue on a interface counter 64bit
I think that it is correct. Graph is in bytes, so 50*8 = 400Mbit.
You can create In/Out graph in bits too.
You can create In/Out graph in bits too.
Let the Cacti grow!
Re: issue on a interface counter 64bit
the cacti graph is in bytes, check the legend at left side, or not ?
new peaks are in order to 700MByte/sec now.
new peaks are in order to 700MByte/sec now.
Re: issue on a interface counter 64bit
now i deleted all the graph including the data source,
created a new graph in order to have 64bit counters
and now the values are NaN
created a new graph in order to have 64bit counters
and now the values are NaN

Re: issue on a interface counter 64bit
solved, i removed all the device involved and reacted all with the same values... now it works
