Cant able to see some graphs for servers

Post by unixnl »

We have cacti 1.1.37 with mysql 5 version on RHEL 7.9 OS
We have build the new Server with RHEL 8.10 OS and install the cacti 1.2.27 mariabd server 10.3 after cacti installation we have copied all the RRD files from old server to new server and take the mysql dump data from OLD server and restore it to new server
Now we are facing issue that we can able to view graph for some server and some servers graphs are not visible showing unknown RRD tool error, kindly help to resolve the issue

if you did it as you describe, you now have code 1.2.27, but the database version is 1.1.37.

Make new server
copy data from old server
import mysql dump from old server
make update (described here https://docs.cacti.net/Upgrading-Cacti.md)

Thanks, Macan, for quick reply, below are the steps followed.
Install httpd/PHP/Mariadb-server 10 (Default DB) on RHEL 8.10
configure the mariadb database
Install cacti 1.2.27 from RPM file
after that open the new URL and perform the new cacti upgrade
once done restore the old database on new server
... kindly suggest was the step performed is correct or any other thing required

sorry, I wrote it unclearly. If you copy only rra files and didn't replace cacti files, you can run

php /path/to/cacti/cli/upgrade_database.php --forcever 1.1.37

It updates your old database to actual 1.2.27
Let the Cacti grow!
