Are you using https for your router OS setup or is it http?

The reason I ask this is because when I rewrote the API to be compatible with the latest RouterOS a few years ago I did not enable https.

So that you know this is a Mikrotik plug-in issue.

You must have the wrong password then or the wrong API port. The API does not currently work with HTTPS. It's not a big fix, just no one has requested it.
