Help - repair_database.php alarming output from debug

Post by ciela2 »

This error is showing up in an F5 device's debug output in the Cacti log:
"Sorry, we could not process your last action.
The Data Query ID [26] that you are trying to Edit does not exist. Please run the repair_database.php CLI script to resolve this database issue"
repair_database.php --debug returns this output:
(Pass 1) NOTE: Found 160321 Invalid Data Input Data Rows in Data Templates

Detailed Checks. Use --force to repair if found.

What does this all mean? Please advise. Do I dare use the --force option?
We've recently migrated from Cacti 0.8.8h to Cacti 1.2.26

Thanks for any help.

Go for it, but make a backup of the database first.

Code: Select all

mysqldump --lock-tables=false cacti > cacti_backup.sql

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
