Getting no graph data of Cisco SW L3 Interface, getting data in debug mode but not in graph!!

Post by prottoy396 »

I am using cacti 1.2.27 with Latest Spine in CentOS 8. Using Corn interval 5, Pollar and Data Profile with 1 min interval.

I am trying to add graph for a Cisco L3 switch (Interface vlan graph), My graph data src debug is showing data it is receiving from the queries, but created graph is not showing any value. Also tried real time graph which is also empty. What should I do to solve or what I am doing wrong?

Note: I am getting graphs are ok for any Physical Interfaces. My L3 Switch shows interface vlan traffic in CLI (show interface vlan xyz), and using other monitoring tools, I am getting graph for the same L3/Virtual interface.

Check permissions first and then after that it's done use the rrdtool info command on the rrdfile. Check for values coming in that may exceed the max value of the data sources also check that at least something is being attempted to be inserted.

Thank you for your suggestions!

I have found that Cisco L3 sw was showing interface speed 1G, cacti get the data and set data src max value to 1G.

I have mannally changed the max value to 100G as my Interface is. Now its getting solved.

Thanks again btw, wrong ifSpeed from cisco Virtual Interface was the issue 😂

Yeah that's always been the case that VLAN interfaces and other custom interfaces don't have a sane if speed.
