[SOLVED]-Cacti 1.2.26 - SNMP Uptime OR Ping - does not detect down device

Post by eholz1 »

Hello All,
Possible bug in cacti-1.2.26. The availability method for a device in cacti: "SNMP uptime or ping"
does not detect a down device if ping OK but SNMP does not respond.

Using Apache 2.4, mariadb 10, php 9 on Oracle 9 Linux.
If I use"SNMP Uptime" or "SNMP Uptime and ping" I get UP/Down notifications normally.

Is it me or is it memorex?
How might I submit a bug report on this? I had none of these issues with ver 1.2.25.

Thank you very much,

This is fixed in the 1.2.x branch in GitHub lib/ping.php. Will be incorporated into the 1.2.27 release.
