Randomly Poller Over Runs

Post by cksrealm »

Hey all, I have two pollers running and poller 2 sometimes randomly starts to over run and aborts like its meant to. Weird thing is that it works find most of the time then will abort 4 times in a row and then go back to normal run time of about 23 seconds. Error states
POLLER: Poller[ncdlnetmonp002] PID[3162164] WARNING: There are 1 processes detected as overrunning a polling cycle, please investigate

How can I best troubleshoot this?
System - Red Hat Enterprise

What data collector are you using? If you are using spine, how many threads? How large is your cacti install, how much cores, memory, disk and disk type are on the Cacti system?

If you go to the Log tab, you can search by "SYSTEM STATS:". Past what you find. Easier that way.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
