Issue-POLLER: Poller WARNING&CMDPHP WARNING: cmd.php poller has run over

Post by AdamAlbertAllen »

The sudden error message:
->CMDPHP WARNING: cmd.php poller has run over its polling interval and therefore is ending
->PHPSVR Maximum runtime of 300 seconds exceeded for the Script Server. Exiting.
->POLLER: Poller[Main Poller] PID[5960] WARNING: There are 1 processes detected as overrunning a polling cycle, please investigate

Originally everything was normal and the system kept running, but an error message began to appear on 2023.06.18 (00:00), and the observation chart did not display any data.
How do you guys solve this problem?

Try to sort your devices by polling time and resolve the worst polling time hosts. Restart problematic device could help.

Increase log level - it could help to find specific problem.

Increase processes, use spine. Make sure your devices are actually reachable.

Thank you for your response. Could you please provide me with specific instructions on how to sort the devices by polling time and identify the hosts with the worst polling time? I am currently unsure which host has the highest polling time. Additionally, I have noticed that this issue resolves itself automatically without any configuration changes, but it occurs approximately every four to five days.

Thank you for your suggestion. I have installed the Spine plugin, but when I switch the polling type from cmd.php to Spine, all the data on the graphs disappears. As a result, I am currently using cmd.php for polling. Could you please provide me with guidance on how to resolve this issue? I would like to be able to smoothly switch from cmd.php to Spine without losing any data on the graphs.
