Can not Save / Create anything!

Post by cyablo »

Hi

Cacti v0.6.7 worked well for me on Debian but I decided to remove it and Install 0.8.5a.

Now Ive got the Problem that i cant save or add anything in cacti. the standard graphs are working but i cant add more graphs or alter any settings. then it always says:

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: replace() in /usr/share/cacti/lib/database.php on line 207
In this Line, there is the Code:

Code: Select all

if (!$cnn_id->Replace($table_name, $array_items, $key_cols, $autoQuote=false)) { return 0; }
Im running Debian Woody, PHP v4.3.10 and MySQL v4.1.7

Besides i need to say that i had to chance the path to adodb from /usr/share/... to /usr/lib/...

greetz

Is there any specific reason why you would want to use an older version and not try out the current version instead (0.8.6c)?

I would suggest using 0.8.6c, much improved and lots of bug fixes.

We attempted to install the Debian distribution of Cacti 0.8.5a and found that it did not install correctly. I don't have the details. However, it was easier to just install 0.8.6c. Once we did that, after learning a few things about crontab syntax in Debian, the install went clean.

The database user for the cacti database, does it have full rights to the cacti database? Please check.

Could also be a database structure issue. He could be missing a field/column or something. It's all yours Rony!!

Did you upgrade the database, or restart over?

Please email me a dump of your database.

I have the same problem some times(until re-build the dbase)

but i have noticed that

/usr/local/rrdtool-1.2.10/bin/rrdtool graph - \
--imgformat=PNG \
--start=1122927378 \
--end=1122927375 \
--title="sv1gft - Signal Strength - -aangelis" \
--rigid \
--base=1000 \
--height=128 \
--width=512 \
--alt-autoscale \
--units-exponent=0 \
COMMENT:"ã From 01/08/2005 23\:16\:18 To 01/08/2005 23\:16\:15\c" \
COMMENT:" \n" \
--vertical-label="dBm" \
--font TITLE:16:/usr/share/rrdtool/fonts/UPCLBI.TTF \
--font AXIS:8:/usr/share/rrdtool/fonts/DejaVuSansMono-Roman.ttf \
--font LEGEND:8:/usr/share/rrdtool/fonts/DejaVuSansMono-Roman.ttf \
--font UNIT:8:/usr/share/rrdtool/fonts/DejaVuSansMono-Roman.ttf \

and when I give this command in shell it returns

ERROR: start (1122927378) should be less than end (1122927375)

also this happend a bit strangly when I was modifing my templates...
the funny side is that happens at all graphs(to the default too...).

What version of PHP? Also, are you using the timespan selector. If so, what is it's default?
