Post by glamas »

Hello:
I have installed a cacti 1.2.22 with php 8.1 and I am trying to create a template for the RTCS UPS it works with the mibs that are in https://www.circitor.fr/Mibs/Html/N/NextUPSSystems.php. When I consult it by snmp the computer responds

with oid 1.3.6.1.4.1.21111.1.2.4.8.1.2.0 and when I execute the troobleshooting --> data source

Check the max values in the rrdfile using the rrdtool info file.rrd command and make sure you are not clipping. Then, if you are, make sure your Data Template has a good maximum value defined for the outputs.

Yup, it's clipping. Your RRDfile and template have a max value of 1000, and the values attempting to be inserted is 2300. So, every value will be discarded. Modify you Data Template and make the max value 'U'. Then delete the RRDfiles and let cacti recreate it and you will be all set.

Thanks that was the problem. Some idea to see how I can divide by 10 the value of the oid

From now on thanks

Just create a CDEF of CURRENT_DATASOURCE,10,/ call it "Divide by 10" and apply to your Graph Items and GPRINT Items and you will be all set. If you want to divide the value @ creation time, currently you have to do that in a script.

There is an outstanding feature to perform regex's @ creation time, but it's not a super high priority for me or the other Cacti Group member as CDEF's just work.
