can graph configs be saved. need to increase data resolution

i want to retain high-res data for a longer period

but to change those settings i need to delete all my graphs

is there a way to save/reapply my graphs after updating data resolution ?

You can copy the files to another directory, change the RRA settings and then use some parallel process to use rrd_splice.php that will sew in the old data with the new data and update the RRDfile. Make sure you play around on a test system as there is no way to go back. I've done it with over 1M rrdfiles and it works. Keep in mind, I used the LSF batch system and half a dozen 80 core servers to do it in a massively parallel fashion though.
